What is the origin of the Laxman Jhula in Rishikesh?
The Laxman Jhula is a suspension bridge named after Lord Laxman, who is
believed to have crossed the river on jute ropes. The modern iron bridge
was built in 1939 and has since become a symbolic and historic landmark
of Rishikesh.
